Pistons Even Series at Two

"Mama there goes that man."

That man is Antonio McDyess. That is the man who hit the rewind button on his career and pulled out his best performance of the playoffs. Dyess had 21 points on 8-14 shooting and grabbed 16 boards -- both game highs.

It's been a long road for Antonio McDyess. From superstar, to injured, to roleplayer, McDyess has taken it all in stride and willed his team to a victory at the Palace and helped even the series at two.

McDyess has been with the Pistons since 2005 and came within one win of that elusive ring and McDyess knows his window is closing on his chance to win one.

"I'm almost at the end of the road," McDyess said. "You only have so many opportunities. I'm at the end of my career, and I just feel like giving everything I can out on the floor. Don't have any excuses. I've just tried to do that this year."

McDyess gave everything he had tonight and so did the rest of the Pistons, jumping out to an early 10-0 lead and never trailed throughout.

One area of concern, however, has to be the play of Chauncey Billups. Billups once again struggled with his play, scoring 10 points on 3-5 shooting. Billups said after the game that he felt better but he didn't look better. However, Billups was much more vocal during the game and helped get his teammates involved with seven assists.

Rip Hamilton, once again, was a rock for the Pistons, scoring 20 points and helping lead the Pistons down the stretch. Tayshaun Prince continued his struggles from the field, shooting 3-12 from the field for seven points.

Now the series shifts back to Boston, with a win putting the Pistons firmly in command of the series.
