So former Penn State running back Austin Scott's rape charges were dropped yesterday. The woman who accused him of raping her back in October had been in a similar trial four years ago when she accused a man at Moravian College of raping her. During that trial, she admitted on the stand that she hadn't been entirely truthful in her accusations and the defendant was acquitted of all charges. Now, she pulled the same move with Scott and cost him his final year of eligibility for football at Penn State and fully tarnished his name forever. I, for one, would like to apologize to Mr. Scott for jumping on the bandwagon against him when these charges surfaced in October. No one deserves to be humiliated for something they didn't do.
