Kwame Brown's search for another fresh start is taking him back to the Eastern Conference.
The center and the Detroit Pistons agreed to a two-year deal -- including a player option for the second season -- worth $8 million, team president of basketball operations Joe Dumars told The Associated Press on Monday night.
This is atrocious. Note to Joe Dumars -- set down the crack pipe and put down the phone because this is the worst free agent signing in recent memory. Not only did you give this guy a contract. You gave him eight million dollars over two years WITH a player option. This guy is pathetic. There's no mincing words. He's garbage. Joe Dumars has just paid Kwame Brown 8 million dollars to watch basketball for two years because there is no chance in hell this guy sees meaningful minutes.
I just want to know what was going through Joe Dumars' mind when he picked up the phone to call Kwame Brown's agent, I really do, because this is the most mystifying thing I've witnessed from him since he took over. What happened to big changes Joe? What happened to re-tooling this team? Picking up a guy to sit in Darko's old spot next to the towel boys is not re-tooling this team. This better be the start of a bigger move because if myself and the rest of the Pistons' fans have to watch this pile of garbage in a Pistons uniform, it is a slap in the face to this fanbase to try and pawn this guy off on us like he has talent when we know he has none.
Hell, even Kwame knows he's a piece of trash. He should show up to the press conference in a ski mask and a white canvas bag with a dollar sign on it because this guy is going to be stealing paychecks.
